buckingham’s doublet
This is one of the 2 Doublet’s (amoungst the many garments) I drafted and sewed for the the show set in aprox 1625 France.
work call
For the past two months (though more intensely the past two weeks) we have been working to put the ‘Three Musketeers’ on stage, I believe that we have finally done it… tonight at 8pm the show premiered, despite famine (or just too much sugar), floods (seriously the rain has been NON-stop, it has rained so much in the past week that the resevior has overflowed and practically the entire province is on a boil water restriction -yuck.) & fire… mmmm… no fire but on Monday we were informed that we wern’t allowed in to the school because of a broken water main… we then started sneaking in and doing gorilla style shifts until Thursday when we were told NO-more monkey business…
The official work calls started again on Friday and we have worked non-stop throwing things together, or rather stitching things together since… if you are interested and in the GVRD (vancouver) come and see the show -it runs untill next weekend, I wish I could tell you how great it is but I haven’t actually seen it yet so you will have to come check it out for yourself.
